547 | UK, Hart's Annual Army List, 1908 (There are many variations on this index - I have them if anybody would like them but I didn't feel it would add anything to upload 10+ directories with pretty much the same information just issued on different years) *About UK, Hart's Annual Army List, 1908* Compiled by Lieutenant General H. G. Hart and published in 1908, six years before Britain entered World War I, this edition of Hart’s Annual Army List likely includes a large number of men who would go on to serve in that conflict. The publication contains lists of serving, reserve, and retired officers for every regiment in the British army, with information stated to be current as of 31 December 1907. It includes “dates of commissions, a summary of the war services of nearly every officer in the army, supply &c. departments, Marines and Indian Army, and Indian local forces.” Also included in the publication are names of retired and deceased members of the military. | ||
